This is a lot of work. You may want to rethink this idea and just do the part of the window that can be reached. If you want to do it, see Bentley 76.7. You'll need to remove the upper mattress, and will have to disconnect the A/C hoses. Take it to a shop where they can recycle the refrigerant. Getting it back in is a lot of fun too. I used a small floor jack raised on platform I made out of plywood. It helps raise and hold the heavy shelf in place while a helper holds the screws down from above while you attach the nuts from inside the cabinet. And this was with my A/C unit removed! Once you have the rear shelf down the rest is easy. I have an 87 Westfalia with AC and I'm looking for info on how to remove the rear closet so that a window tinter can have full access to that drivers side rear window. Any information on how to do this and/or links to write ups of people showing the process? Thanks Abel Longoria www.DasMotoClub.com |
