You missed the part where I said that the vanaru is my east coast car. It
goes between Montreal, Nove Scotia and New York. I don't drive it in
California, so there's no issue with the statement of facts. I reckon the
DMV noticed they weren't collecting their share of smog fees from gypsies
like me, so they have tightened the rules, and now even gypsies have to
come back to CA to go through smog annually.
I was informed of this exemption by AAA. It isn't anything nefarious. Big
corporations push these laws a lot further than I do!
