Replace the coil. It's cheap and easy, and it may not happen again. If it does, dig deeper, and you'll have a spare.

Earlier, I tested the coil for output and got a good hot spark. I got in the van, tried to start the engine. It went Grind, Grind, Grind, Vroooom! Started up. I did not think it was going to start - but when it did - it did so with vigor! I drove it a bit, ran it hard on one stretch of road, came home, turned it off. Hit the start switch and it fired right up, again and again and again. I have been unable to get it to fault.

This is really frustrating. How do you fix what ain't broke? At least on the surface of things. It's guaranteed to happen again. Just a matter of time. In the meantime, I hold my breath on startup, wondering if this is the time for the fault. If the timing of it is wrong - it could embarassing. A fella WOULD NOT want this to happen when he's over visiting someone else's sweetie-pie!!!
