While they are much nicer to drive then a Vanagon ,because of creature comforts like factory in dash air that actually works ,better ergonomics and air bags . I wouldn't own an early production of any model. In 93 VW was using their customers as Guinea pigs. Ask any VW mechanic what they think about working on a Eurovan VS a Vanagon. The later vans are better appointed and with the VR6 make driving a real pleasure. I still think I would pass on a 93 ,if it is a Eurovan you want buy a newer model .
