Doug, I have a roll of that tape here. I did put it on my upper roller track after I repaired that area last fall, the lower track has not been done, waiting until after the new paint job is done. The tape on the upper track makes a world of difference. AND, while I’m here, lubing those bearings is not as easy as everyone makes is seem. ALL the bearings are sealed so to lube them you need to dismantle them and remove the seal and get grease into the bearing. Putting oil or grease on the track between the roller and the track is just attracting dirt that makes things worse over the long run. AND, yes to the WD40 story, I do not use that product ever, it is not a lubricant but a Water Displacer, hence the WD in the name. Plus, I have all the parts for the slider you may need here, IN STOCK !
