Hi Everyone: Went camping at Prado Lake this past weekend for the beginning of Blackstar = Camp-out 2014. Great VW event (minus the ants) but we completely ran out of = propane for the first time and was unable to "fuel" our Dometic fridge our f= inal evening. We usually camp with an extra cooler between the front seats b= ut was wondering if anyone has any experience/views on the Dometic/Waico Coo= lfreeze CF-18. Only $300 on RV Parts Country http://www.rvpartscountry.com/Dometic-Portable-Freezer-Refrigerator-Box-CF-0= 18-DC.html Specs say an average consumption of 35Watts. I have an 80W solar panel with = a 55Ah aux battery that I was hoping to power this with - do you think my se= t-up would be enough to power this? We live in Southern California so sunshi= ne is not an issue. I'm also completely happy with how our Domectic 182 work= s normally and don't need a Truckfidge As a side note - it took 3.4 gallons to fill my propane tank??? Thanks - John. |
