The original subject line would probably be moot...had the 88GL been a diesel...they don't have much that can go wrong, electrically, like the cause of the NO Start problem we were talking about... They are somewhat problematic with starting in cold climates, diesels but most of that is due to cold batts. very high compression making cranking them over difficult and thickened fuel. I think we pretty much get what the oil industry and the auto industry decides will make them the most money. They tell Congress what they want the law to be, and we have to buy whatever complies... Since it's almost Friday I see Elon Musk (Space X..Pay Pal...the Tesla electric car..) is going to share his electric car patents with other automakers? I bet they still will find a reason to keep us out of electric vehicles..
