I had the same useless angle on my '90 mv. I worked the vent windows back and forth until they opened up to a decent angle. Took about 1 minute.  I know it sounds crude, but never had problems with it except it was maybe a little looser. But, it did stay open at highway speed like it should.

 Triangle vent window question

Hi all,

It's been awhile since I've been on the list, but back on and have a
question about the triangle vent windows (1990 Vanagon Westy, Washington DC
area, FWIW).
