I have three vehicles. All are rolling on tires bought from Discount Tire. On the West Coast they operate as America's Tire. I have patronized them for more years than they have existed under the current name (their former name was Four Day Tire Stores). I do check other dealers for prices (and the one time another dealer beat them, Discount quickly agreed to match, and take off another $3 per tire). I had a tire develop a bubble, not a road hazard but just a bad tire --unfortunately it happens. When I had had a problem like that with Firestone (a Bridgestone branded tire), there was a lot of hassle. I had to pay for the new tire, then send the tire that failed by freight to be examined in Memphis before I got any satisfaction -- that for a tire that threw the tread. And that was during Firestone's fiasco with Ford SUVs, so you;d think they would be trying to avoid looking bad. At Discount, they replaced my tire. When I asked if they would have to get the manufacturer's approval, I was told, "Well, yes, but we're not going to come looking for you. Be safe." That was that. I never heard from them, other than to get a new copy of the tire warranty in the mail with a new date and mileage.

They will match online prices, too, though in that case they add an installation fee -- the same as they would charge if you had the tires shipped to them from the online dealer (still no shipping fee, a substantial cost with online purchase).
