Wheels have been discussed many times over the tea years. VW, Audi, Mercedes are the usual choices due to bolt pattern. Next you need the correct offset. 30mm offset is probably the ideal. Depending on width you can get away with 25 (close to sliding door) to 35 (close to suspension). Then there is the hub especially on the 2 wheel drives. Note that many wheels are hub centric, meaning they use the center hub for position and strength. Factory alloys on the front of Syncros are hub centric. For strength the Mercedes S class is already a 5,000 pound vehicle so they may be the strongest. Note that wheels do get rated for weight, tire diameter, and usage. You want to see an "LT" on them somewhere just like the original alloys. The American Racing AR95T are rated for 2,200 pounds. They are direct fits. Dennis
