The 215/60-16XL has a load index of 99 and is 26.1" diameter. 1709 pounds with a max inflation of 50 psi. Note this type of tire reaches full load rating at 36 or 41 psi, (varies by tire size). Everything over that is for handling or rolling resistance. If you go to a 225/60-16 the native load index is 98 and XL versions are 101 or 102. This is only ~1 inch larger than the 185/80-1. Going to 17 the 225/55-17 is the same size as the 225/60-16. Native load index is 97 and XL's are 101 or 102.
