Last I checked, OR and NJ were the only two states where you could not pump your own gas.

Used to be no one pumped their own gas. The gas station attendant did that, checked your oil, and cleaned your windshield. Then you paid cash. I salute Oregon for finding something for teens/less advantaged of us to do to make some money.

Here's a unique and amusing gas station thing...In Oregon they have a law that prohibits you from pumping your own gasoline...so when you get gas there you hand the gas jockey your key and your credit card or cash and sit there while he/she pumps it,...

I hand my keys and credit card to nobody. I open the gas tank for them and I then insert the credit card into the pump to authorize gas. They pump the gas. After they are done I put the gas cap back on. My keys and credit card never leave my hand and that's how I like it.
