I think AA Trans Daryl liked the Swepco..

.I run in in the 5-sp manual in my 'slightly augmented' ABA 2.0 liter and I change it once a year which seems to be about 30k miles. I don't think Swepco is synthetic though, it's a dino blend that has it's roots in heavy industrial applications.... I was surprised, when I changed from Redline, the marked difference between the two lubricants. The Redline felt and poured like sewing machine or bicycle oil compared to the purty blue Swepco. It's also a thicker and more slippery oil...you can feel the difference between your fingers.... The transmission in my van is noticeably quieter, running the Swepco. Many of the Porsche racecars run the stuff, I ran it in my Porsche 928 racer with 575 rwhp and a quarter ton of torque...16 quarts of it, changed after each race weekend. It does take a minute or two of driving to get it warmed up during really cold weather. As someone mentioned though, expensive oil is still cheaper than the cheapest rebuild for a busted transmission so I'm treating my somewhat rare 5-speed to the Good Stuff...
