John, This depends to some extent on whether you want this to be permanent or temporary. Basically the spade terminal on the starter solenoid needs +12V to activate the solenoid and starter. The +12v can be found on the large terminal nearby, of course, but also on the large terminal on the alternator, or perhaps even in the black box at the front left corner of the engine compartment. Some starter solenoids have a double spade terminal which makes things easier. If not, you can disconnect the wire from the ignition switch if you want a temporary connection for your remote. You may also be able to just slide it back a little if you are using a small alligator clip. You can buy a one to two splitter for the spade terminal which may come in handy. Of course it's not easy to reach or even see this terminal. You may be able to reach it from the engine compartment depending perhaps on whether you have a MT or AT and how much stuff is in the way. :-)
