Four or five months?????? Who told you that?

I live in the heart of the Blue Mountains and four or five weeks is more like it. Last winter was four or five days. I have a set (4) of studded Hakka 10s. They go on in mid-December and they usually come off the first week of February. Mind you, my commute is 15 miles over a state highway with no shoulder to speak of (10’ drop off to swamp) and frequent 50 mph side winds. At 0500 in the AM. If my commute was at a more reasonable time of day or if I didn’t have to cross an ice covered bridge at the windiest point of the commute, the Hakkapeliitta CS tires that I run the rest of the time would be just fine.

Spokane is 100 miles north and 2k feet lower altitude.

My advise is pick up a set of studded tires to run when it’s going to be really snotty and run your all seasons the rest of the time. Else, pick up a set of Hakkas and run them year round.
