Over the last year the led ( replacement one in my case, brighter and blue) that indicates flame in the fridge combustion chamber, has been glowing whether the fridge is working or not. Started intermittently, then last few months continual. Mark drillock has posted many times about this, how it could be bad grounding of the fridge wiring. I thank Mark for his posts. I had time today to pull the fridge and check the wiring. There were no obvious faults but I cleaned connections and I added another ground wire that would reach the van chassis. I didn't have to use that extra wire, just cleaning connections did the trick and the led works as it should. I think it was three years ago I had the fridge out last. Boy it sure gets dusty back there, the fins needed a good brushing. Alistair |
