It appears that he has a Subaru 2.2L installed. To the original poster:
check your engine oil pan for leaks, especially if it has been shortened.
Also look for oil around the timing belt cover; there ar a lot of places it
could be coming from. Two quarts of oil spilled on the ground is a lot of
oil, are you sure it really is that much?
