   I've always thought that was a crime.. Oil comes from Alaska and Texas,
refined in Texas....but the residents have to pay more sometimes than in
states where no gas and oil drilling or refining is done...They get all the
downside of Oil industrial production and the pollution it come with,
without the benefit of cheap gas...
   Pipeline?   States where that goes through, they  should get some
compensation for that, too...but of course, they won't..The oil will go to
Texas, get refined and sold to whoever gives the most money to the oil
companies...The US and Canada, who bear the scars from producing it?...If
you ain't got Oil stocks....too bad..
   Here where I live,  the Columbia River is one big dammed up lake in
order to make electric power ...WE don't get especially cheap electric
power, despite having huge power lines and dams everywhere..we get to pay
the same as California or whoever bids the most for the power made in our
yards........
  the corporations who sell oil and power, they sell it at the highest rate
to whomever they can and drill or dam wherever they like...heck with 'fair
play'   and, can you say "imminent domain"?....They want it, they will get
the Law to give it to them, even if it's private land...
