Well, "really works great" is really a matter of geography. Trust me, hop in your van when it's 118F outside and 145F inside, and you won't be happy with the performance no matter how well sorted it is. For years my van was a daily driver, and I had no covered parking, so all summer the Dometic fan ran all day long, with the fridge off, until I installed a cutout switch on it. Until I did my Tiico conversion in 2002 I couldn't use the A/C during the hottest part of the summer since every time the radiator fan kicked into high speed, the compressor shut off (as it should) and at the end of a 16 mile stop and go commute, it was still as hot inside as out. Granted the '87 up had a bit bigger evap and dual evap blowers, but the WBX cooling system is the same, and would cycle on/off just the same.
