Yes, the handles differ. But the idea is the same. I think van cafe have the escutcheons and seals for sale.

I made my version quite close fitting so that it would provide better outboard support. It was a little tedious to get a good fit in both the sheet metal of the door and the shaft of the handle. The latter is a casting, not machined or designed for a close fitting collar.

Oh and I think there is, or was, a seller on the samba that was making delrin versions, and if think for all years of handles.
