So the bans barring charcoal and wood burning are enacted to keep burning embers from igniting a forest fire. What do you do with the smoldering remains of your smoker chips? I have a feeling that in the eyes of the law, any device emitting woodsmoke may get you into trouble. I take a couple trips each summer on the Lower Deschutes, and have often wondered if I could bring my propane smoker, or if the BLM would take it away and hand me a ticket. Don
