I was sitting here working this problem in my head and thought what if it was the ignition switch? But I guess I ruled that out by way of the screwdriver test right? If the starter was good it would have spun.

I'm second guessing myself in what is a very straight forward procedure of popping a starter in and out. Heck I am very proficient with the starter bushing R/R (probably the hardest part of this whole thing).
