Thanks to Jarrett Kupcinski, I have acquired a spare AFM and am attempting to understand the testing as detailed in Bentley on page 24.57 Since I now have a spare to work with, I have compared the measurements between 3 & 4 and 1 & 4 between the original and spare and receive essentially the same readings. My question concerns the measurement between terminals 2 & 3 --- Bentley says the value should be a resistance change when the air sensor flap is moved But, does it matter what the range of change looks like? It it starts out as .55 but changes to a high of 1.5 somewhere along the movement of the flap, is that better than a high value of 1.2 or even a high value of .6 since any of those would provide a resistance change. Or, should I be looking at values when the flap is fully opened? Or should I be looking for some other variance? Thanks for helping me understand this.
