I know little about the mechanical end of things but agree with others you seem to be at great risk of ruining your recently rebuilt engine. You asked for advice and the list suggested not to drive anymore. There is no good that come from driving your vehicle further and a lot of bad that is probable. I realize that you have little capital at the moment but I do not see where doing further damage is going to improve your overall situation. Asking something of your vanagon that it cannot deliver is counter productive at this point in my opinion. As I say I know little of these matters but I certainly would not be driving it under these circumstances. I wish you luck but am afraid that luck is not going to be sufficient to help provide a favourable outcome.
