Thanks for the information---seems my whole life is a learning process. My posting was not clear since what I did was to use the CRC MAF cleaner to clean the big flapper and the inside body around the flapper with the AFM's not attached to the filter housing. The CRC product said it was safe on plastic and sensitive equipment and it was very fast drying. I did not open the sealed AFM mechanism especially since the 3 AFMs all tested fine. Had one been erratic, I probably would opened it up so I could learn more about these things.

Now, time to go for a ride on a beautiful day in Virginia,
