Subject: For my travel kit -- hinge oil? [NVC]
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Mrs Elliott and I are presently in Colorado, staying in motels (NVC), following conference she attended. I am an early-morning riser, she not so much. So early in the morning I want to be as quiet as a mouse as I range about the motel room, reading list posts, making crummy motel room coffee, and using the lavatory.

I've noticed that almost all motel and hotel room lavatory doors need oiling -- they squeal and squeek as they are opened and closed.

So I'd like to add a little machine oil to my travel kit. Something in an itty-bitty drip dispenser that has a good cap so it won't leak in my luggage, even when taken to 30,000 feet in an airplane.

But I have not found such a thing. Have checked with my local hardware stores and a sewing machine store, and the containers are all too large, and the caps insecure.
