Ok. I may have answered my own question: http://www.cip1.ca/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VWC%2D251%2D798%2D401%2DAS I thought one of the Vanagon vendors had something better. Rebuilding a clutch cylinder just for fun may be a waste of time. A manual steering rack I ordered from CIP was also advertised as "Good Quality Reproduction". I don't see the same exact part advertised any more, and I'm no expert by any means, but the tie rod boot quality on that part looked and felt shoddy so..... Neil.
