Thanks for your input, Karl.

I ended up purchasing a Bostig hose for my Syncro. I will stick with the k&n filter for the time being as it already seems to be performing better than Spectre I had before. The Bostig hose will give much needed flexibility to improve intake and filtering even further over time.
