In '89 they apparently went safety mad and added a little tit on the lower shaft that limits rotation. I tried and failed to grind it off in place but if the window is removed it should be quite easy to do. A possible alternative would be to drill an access hole in the door skin to reach the clamp area from the outside but most Volks wouldn't want to do this, I imagine. Yours, David |
