To expand upon this a bit more. That felt pad Stacy is writing about is to the rear of the door, inside, just below the track where the window rides. Most likely that felt pad is gone. There is a hole in the sheet metal brace in there where that felt pad is supposed to be. It takes up the space that’s allowing the window to rock back and forth and rub on the metal brace. You can use any suitable soft material to take up this space, just glue it in there with some GOOP so it will stay in place as the window slides on it. BTW, you're going to have to remove the door panel and plastic vapour barrier to see this.
