  Also, though not actually Vanagon ....Beer is good there.  Buy it at a
"Deposito" or a "Sub-Agencia"...which most towns have.   The bottles are
exchange....You pay for your bottles, about the same as the beer but if you
bring  empties,  the beer is darn cheap...


  Get a receipt when you buy a case with the bottles and you can get a
refund when you leave, if you bring back the bottles...Even warm beer is
good in Baja.   Cuisine in Baja is.......well,  the seafood is great..


  Do try to get off the main routes especially once you get into Baja
Sur...There are some really gorgeous oasis villiages and coastal hamlets
that are fun to spend time in..
