Zoran,

Thanks for the feedback. I did check the position sensor and it appears to be closing ... this is part of the I am not able to reproduce the behaviour in the driveway ... what I need to do is get out and check it the next time the idle races to 2K RPM.

I just found it peculiar that putting a little load on the engine would cause it to return to normal idle and thought maybe the act of loading the engine/tranny was shifting things enough to ease off the throttle ... of course, I'm not back there to observe what is happening when I take those actions.
