i wish people would stop calling the Westfalia camper bed a "Z Bed". its not a "Z Bed". the "Z Bed" was a aftermarket conversion made by a company called Z PRODUCTS which converted the standard 7 passenger rear seat into a sofabed with their special hinges and brackets. My buddy has a '68 seven passenger deluxe bus with the Z Products "Z-Bed" conversion to the rear seat. Z Products also used to sell Curtain kits and other camper stuff for the buses and vanagons. i seem to remember them still being in business in the early '90's but i dont think they are in business anymore now. Anyway to answer your question, Yes, you can swap all westfalia seat cushions.. they are all interchangable between years. in other words you can unbolt the rear westfalia bed seatback and bottom from a '81 westy and install one from a '91 westy. listmember bryan feddish (the guy who posts all the youtube videos) has done this with his '83.5 westy, he swapped the nicer tan velour cushions from a '85 or 86 westy into his '83.5. bolt in deal. |
