There is no backwards compatibility implied with VW parts numbers just because the only difference is the letter at the end. Sometimes they will be compatible and many other times not. In this case not. The front rod bushing for 091 tranny model Vanagons is above the fuel tank. (the 091 trans = 80-83 aircooled, 82 diesel) Mark
