could be the "antenna key". that's right, some late model vanagons that were equipped with bosch antennas had a "key" (stamped with the Bosch logo) that enabled you to retract the antenna down into the body and when you wanted to raise it you'd use this little key to unlock and raise it... just a silly little German invention to keep thugs from snapping your antenna off in the city i guess...
