I'd think twice about that idea - at 10A per plug, that's a huge load on the alternator. FWIW, I made a prototype electric house water heater using one of these flanges, even at the super-low flow rate of the faucet they barely warmed the water - from 50 to 80 degrees, with a restrictor in place also. Glow plugs are great for heating a combustion chamber but that's about it. Later TDIs didn't have these, guess they figured out they really weren't worthwhile. Karl
