This weekend I hope to take all that advice and put together a really tentative trip guide. We usually just take it day by day and make our plans on the fly. As I mentioned to someone, that way of travel has pluses and minuses---one time we left Virginia planning to go only as far northwest as Vancouver and Victoria Island and ended up on a car ferry from Victoria Island to Skagway and then drove to Dawson City before heading down to the Icefields Parkway and spent about a week in Yoho NP taking wonderful hikes in that area including many around Lake O'Hara before heading home.

If all goes as planned we hope to leave Virginia around August 30 and head out. So, if you see a white Vanagon with a bra on the front and a full canvas bag in the luggage rack, honk, wave, or flash your lights, Hope to meet some of you for an impromptu lunch of coffee on the way.

All the best to everyone,

Harold & Faye
