Subject: Has anybody here added an SA Stainless Tank to 2WD?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Good morning, folks.

As the subjectline suggests, I'm looking for ideas installing one of the South African Stainless Steel Auxiliary Tanks in a 2WD van. The Syncro guys use the filler position for the 2WD so no problem for them.

What about 2WD? Is not like you can stick a Y-pipe in there as the 2WD filler pipe is plastic. I've seen various companies make special fillers but they don't address how you would merge it with the stock plastic filler pipe. If a custom pipe is used, how would you connect to the stock tank?

This information is not for me. I arranged to have a Group Purchase of SA tanks & rear ladders from South Africa. Now it turns out of the guys who bought a tank has a 2WD. Please let me know any ideas you might have including a filler just under the fender well.

TIA,

BenT Van-O-Rama #14 09/07/14
