Those Vanagon engine failures are far more common from cooling system failures than anything else. Spending money on oil gauges won't change that. If you really want to keep a Vanagon engine alive longer spend your time and money on the much greater threat, the cooling system. If you just like more dials and lights, go for it. Mark
