tell you are really neat way to install gauges. ( traditionally ..depending how factory looking you want to make a gauge installation it can be a lot of work... there's mounting, or making holes for the gauges...wiring, and dash lilluminatino for them )

what i have found that works just great is 'gauge pods' .. I got my from John's Sport House ..or somebody's Sport House that I accessed via egauges.com ..like talking to them on the phone. Yeah..think it's John's Sport House.

these black plastic pods have a pedestal ...which is very handly. and I want the gauges very close to my line of sight when driving ..like don't want to 'look down in the cockpit somewhere' to see what the OP is. so I put these right at the base of the windshield.. which means the wires to them can sneak out a few inches from the forward right corner of the instrument cluster cover.

no drilling any holes !

Plus..I just stick the pedestal on with black silicone.. easy to see too.

I happen to like wiring the guage illumination voltage to Ign On voltage' ..so they are illuminated as soon as you turn on the key. conenct them to '15' voltage. ( not X voltage from the key ..which is wipers, headlights, and other things that are not powered during starter cranking ) .

see if you can get single gauge pods ...they make installation really easy ..

and they're right in fronta yer nose that way right where ya want 'em.

the VDO guages from egauges.com can have white, red, or green illumiunation. I got for the red myself.
