'trap moisture' ... a real concern usually .. especially in cold/damp climates. I do well with Q-Pads or whatever you want to call them.. dense sticky-backed rubber, that I get from a 'real' body and paint supply store. on the expensive side.. and I never do full coverage on the inner side of say, a door skin' .. half at most. good sound deadening ..and no moisture issues.
