Yeah, levelling that van is all I have done so far with those bits of fiberglass grid. They are supposed to be bridging ladders, but since I started carrying them we haven't come across any ditches or washouts we need to use them on.

I suppose it all depends on where you travel. For us, as we explore logging roads, there is no shortage of rocks or bits of wood to prop up the grid. I think in the pic on that blog post I have them elevated about 8" or so.
