I may have to name you in that suite as well ;-)

We fabricated liquid-proof covers for both the upper bunk (this one done from a standard mattress cover) and lower bed.  The lower bed was naturally done in two parts: a wrap around cover for the seat and a complete enclosure for the rear mattress.

Our rear mattress enclosure has an internal pocket into which one can insert a 45 x 35 piece of plywood - or in my case, acrylic since I happened to have a couple of 40mm panels kicking around to provide a firmer surface for carrying items - such as cans of paint - which do not appreciate being stacked on a spongy surface.
