You might take a look here for some insight on the Nylock subject. Posted on the Nylok.com site is a table of torque values. (Note - they are only valid for the first time you use the fasener.) http://nylok.com/nylok-basics   Also of interest is:   http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/general/bolt-torque-resources-especially-nylock-176110/   Which notes that your Nylok nuts will not be airworthy unless at least two threads show past the nuts. Be aware of this if you plan to fly your bus.

Thanks for the help, guys.  I will check out those friction reducers.  That GoWesty site is quite helpful.  I got some info from the archives, but I'm still wondering if there is a torque value assigned to those nylock nuts.  Anyone out there want to venture a guess?

I would like to remove it to do the clean up, but if I remember the last time I removed a swivel, it didn't swivel as well when I replaced it. I could not find any reference to it in Bentley. Is there a torque value for the nuts, or a way to tighten them to a certain point? I am also trying to decide if lithium or moly grease would be best to grease the swivel mechanism. While I'm at it, what about the seat rails? Any info would be helpful. > > Dave B.
