IF the Booster is bad, Airhead does carry remanufactured Vanagon Brake Boosters. Currently, Airhead is out of stock, but I'm getting ready to send a bunch of cores in to be rebuilt and should have them back on the shelf in about 10 days. Customers are taking too long to return the cores and when they do they come all at once like they did this week. The company I deal with has been one I've dealt with since the late 70s and they do a great job. http://www.airheadparts.com/vintage-vw-parts/new-parts-past/power-brake-servo-rebuilt-281612105-x HOWEVER, do check the areas noted by Dennis Haynes and SDF beforew spluirging for the Booster.
