Wha's happ'ng! My '88 van was broken down and I couldn't start it before my stroke. Was working on when the stroke occurred. Now I can drive again fa e the same problem - it won't start. I tested the hall sender, the pump, the injectors. No fire from coil to distributor. Used the engine analyser I got from Van Cafe. That is sweet and worth having. Ultimately all indicators pointed to the ecu. ThE ECU was not pulsing the coil. So, replace the ECU. QUESTION: the replacement is a -1 unit from a later car and the original is a straight unit'. Will the -1 work in place of the original? Is there a difference in performance? John |
