Probably not a good choice for an engine compartment. Not designed for the heat or any contamination. The inner insulation will quickly fail.

Does the shield on your current O2 wire connect to your ECU? If so, and if you replace the entire wire, connecting that shield to the ECU pin might pose a small challenge.

The O2 "signal" current must be incredibly small. Wire gauge of coaxial wire is small but should handle it.

My only thought is heat-vibration possibly affecting the coax wire. The centre lead isn't stranded. Might fail soon at point it connects to O2 connector?

Route thoughtfully?
