Hi David,

I'm pretty sure your answer means I don't owe Dennis a cup of coffee at the next camp out! though I'd be happy to hand one over anyway! Glad that changing the bulb solved the problem.

I went to BBTB rather then Watkins this year. Hopefully next year I can do both. If you go next year try not to blow past our little caravan quite so fast! most of us were cruising on original VW motors with high mileage!

I was the slow person in the group trying to not go much over 60.

But I think the original problem was the blink filament was flopping onto and off one of the contact posts. Fixed the problem by replacing the bulb. While in there though, I found evidence of water in the wiring harness. Didn't see water, or sign of it, in the light fixture, just in the harness (although the water "must" (?) have come from the interior of the turn lamp assembly. If you guys are aware of a way the water got into the harness other than from the fixture, let me know. I found rust on one of the light contacts and have put a new socket/bulb holder on my list of things to buy. > > Take Care; > Dave > > P.S, Did you do busses by the buoy? I noticed a rapid blink when using the left turn signal. OK, I thought, go check which light is out and replace. Simple. Took a look and the rear light was blinking along rapidly. Took a look at the front and it was on constantly. No blink. Not dim. As I was writing this, I went out to double check the right turn signal operation. Right hand side works fine, but as I am switching back and forth, the front left light goes out and stays that way. Funky bulb? Bad ground? Mice?(my wife, to my horror, brought up that one, and she knows what that means. No mice though), Bad relay? Is this common and I don't know it? >> >> Dave B.
