Valve is on the input side. As to which of the two hoses is which, the input to the heater should come off the cylinder head (source of hottest water). I know nothing about the Tiico, but the way to be sure is to crank it over with the spark disabled and see which hose coolant comes out of.

Last summer a mechanic by-passed my front Heater Core due to a small leak. I have installed a new heater core and fan motor+ wiper motor Just to be proactive. My question is which heater hose is the feed hose and which is the return hose? While laying down with the radiator fan above me I see two hoses along the frame rail and a open hose from the new Heater Core with the valve beside it open as well. So which Hose along the frame rail is the feed hose, the outside Hose or the inside Hose? Which Hose goes to the Heater Valve? Thanks, Bill Witz 84 Tiico Doing my part to keep this Westy on the road.
