I've tried a different high performance pad (not shoe) in other cars without noticing much difference. I doubt these shoes are worth the money. Brake fade is due to the pad literally vaporizing and creating a layer of vapor between the pad or shoe and the disk or drum, so high performance parts might reduce this if you are experiencing it I did once coming down the Grapevine in my '68 hightop (drums all around). If it hadn't been a straight shot to the bottom I'd be dead. Got the Vanagon within a couple of months. Just my $0.02. I Should have Clarified. Have people found that changing to these shoes has helped reduce brake fade? But then I understand that the front brakes are responsible for ~ 70% of the braking.
